Jonathan will give talk on the finer points for presentation and what investors look for, but won’t tell you. Mr. Pappie has had his commentary published by the World Bank, the SEC and has prepared documents for Kevin Costner, Stan Lee and the former President of Warner Bros Telepictures. Jonathan has authored or edited more than 200 business documents including business plans, industry analytical research reports, valuations, due diligence documents, private placement memoranda, and grant proposals. Mr. Pappie received his B.S. degree from Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts, with a Major in Marketing, and minors in Economics, Finance and Business Law. He has also created presentation material for Banks, major organizations and governments.

Dr. Don Oparah, Founder, VAI Global
Dr. Don Oparah leads VAI Global as Founder and CEO and brings with him a range of experience in technology business, consulting, research and education as well as very specific knowledge about accelerating start-up ventures and building innovation communities. Prior to starting VAI Global, Don developed the vision for, launched and successfully grew the UCSB Venture Acceleration Initiative (VAI) to accelerate university spin-off ventures. He also spent several years working in IT and Strategy consulting in the UK. Dr. Oparah holds a PhD in Computer Science from Cambridge University and an MBA with Entrepreneurship Focus from UCLA Anderson.

Vak Sambath CEO/Co-Founder, Pivot HQ and Angel Investor
Vak got his entrepreneurial start at SMC Networks in 2001, where he co -developed the industry’s first EZ 3-Click Router Installation software. After the development of the software, Vak was later promoted to manage the company’s first in-house R&D for SMC Networks, North America. In the following year, Vak left SMC Networks to begin his first company, Medmania, Inc., where he developed a patent pending question and answering software process for educational learning.
In addition to starting Medmania, Vak founded other successful web properties such as Campusbug (a social learning network) and Techzulu (a technology news reporting blog site for Southern California). In 2008, Medmania acquired the operating rights to Crushspot.com, an urban dating site, where he grew the site to 100 million page views per month with 1 million users registered in less than one year. Then, in 2010 Vak and a few friends cofounded Pageable, a software as a service (SaaS) model, where consumers can create their own promotional product page as daily deals.
Today, Vak’s primary focus is bringing his 15 years of startup, online advertising and product development knowledge and experience to help drive in the execution of customer products, marketing, design strategies and technology implementation for Pivot HQ. In his spare time, Vak is an advisor and mentor to local Southern California startups at FastStart.studio, a startup incubator located in Irvine, CA focused on creating job growth using the lean startup model. A few of the companies that he advises are Insteegram, GamerComps, PoloGaming, and FilmPM. Vak received his major in Biology and minor in Behavioral Psychology from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA.

Holden Steinberg, coFounder and President, PageWoo
Holden has a flair for big concepts and creative solutions. After attending the University of Pennsylvania, Holden co-founded and served as creative director of Appocalypse Interactive, a web development and design studio that produced engaging websites, microsites, apps, and interactive platforms for Fortune 500 brands. Holden is a creative force with an eye for fine art and award winning design. Now as Co-founder and President of PageWoo, Holden is instrumental in product development. Her unique take on UX design has propelled both the interface and the business forward.
